Health and Fitness – The Cause of Heart Disease

Heart disease has taken its toll on the health of the American population. What doesn’t help is that most people’s lifestyle places little emphasis on health and fitness, which is the main reason this disease is so prevalent and deadly.

In order to stay healthy and drastically reduce the risk of contracting heart disease you should switch to an all organic diet of mostly fruits and vegetables. Combine this with one hour of hard fitness exercise everyday and you will become a perfect physical specimen.

Your heart will benefit too. Your new diet will keep your cholesterol levels and blood pressure where they should be. The exercise will keep your heart in shape and healthy. If people don’t start taking the benefits of health and fitness more seriously we will only see an increase in the cases of heart disease across the country.

Why Does Someone’s Heart Fail?

The most common reason someone’s heart fails is because their heart becomes incapable of effectively pumping blood through the arteries. This has increased the curiosity of cardiologists to know and understand exactly what causes heart disease.

After much study and research, cardiologists have come up with some answers as to the major causes of heart disease which include:
* Negative Emotion
* High blood pressure
* Diabetes
* Stress
* Valvular heart disease
* Coronary artery disease
* Cardiomyopathy
* Family History
* Smoking

As you can see, each of these causes, besides family history, is itself caused by a poor lifestyle in regards to health and fitness. Now that you understand what the true cause of heart disease is it is now up to you to take action to transform your life into one of health and well-being.

Don’t Forget About Your State Of Mind

It think that many of us often forget the power of our emotions and thoughts. Virtually all disease is stress of one kind of another on the body. If you can learn to control your thoughts and anxieties so you can live a life of ease, peace and happiness your overall well-being will thrive.

It is not something you need to do alone, as there are many effective courses and instructional material that teach you how to reduce stress and anxiety. There is just as much, if not more, material on activities like yoga and tai chi, which, on top of their spiritual components, will also help you improve your health and fitness levels.

You may be realizing that preventing heart disease, or any disease for that matter, is not so difficult because it only requires a specific health and fitness regimen. All the resources and material to teach you how to do so is readily available online or at your local health food store.

Weight Loss Through the Aid of Health and Fitness

There was a time when only women were conscious of their weight and shape.

Gradually, and almost undetected, males have crept into the weight-loss class to join them. Whether or not this has anything to do with the emancipation or subjugation of the global male is open to conjecture. In the final event it may have no bearing on the fact that men have finally come out of the over-weight closet and admitted that ‘they’re fat’!

It is a well-known fact that regardless of whether you are male or female, being too fleshy in certain parts does tend to make one slower of movement. This results in certain daily tasks, which hitherto have been completed with little or no conscious thought, becoming somewhat laborious.

For the average man or woman it starts to become a worry when they realise that they’re having difficulty tying shoelaces, or that they can’t actually see their feet anymore (you have to experience an event such as this to really know how devastated it makes you feel). Now, whereas the non-thinkers of the world will totally ignore these warning signs, the rest of us will hunker down and bravely make the cruel decision that a diet of some type is definitely on the calendar.

However, it is sad to say that few of even the elite decision-makers will admit to the fact that not only diet must be introduced into their daily lives, but also that other activity they’ve been avoiding all year – exercise. That’s right guys and gals, sorry to disappoint you but the two go hand in hand. Diet and exercise have to be conjoined if we are to see some meaningful and beneficial effects on our neglected bodies.

You don’t need to go to the gym fifteen times each week to lose weight.

If you do have a membership (which is doubtful or you probably wouldn’t need to lose weight and get fit – and therefore probably wouldn’t need to be reading this), you will be well aware of just where the exercise gym finishes and where the right eating habits begin.

If you’re not in the habit of running because you hate the thought, try walking – if not everywhere, at least a regular daily or three times-a-week brisk 4,000 to 5,000 steps along the beach, country road, or city highway (perhaps not the latter), but certainly anywhere that is suitable for walking. This number of paces roughly equals one and a half kilometres (a mile). If you stick with this practice for a month the change in your appearance will be noticeable.

If you’re comfortable with running you’ll almost certainly see that change in about half the time. But don’t overdo it – desperation never solved anything.

It goes without saying that even the token exercise outlined here, if continued faithfully, will show you an improved feeling of well-being. The overall result is what we describe as ‘better health’. As health and fitness improves we find that many of the tasks we used to find difficult actually become a lot easier; our tolerance toward those niggling interpersonal things that occur daily improves noticeably. Problem-solving abilities also soar to greater heights, thus making us more likely to experience greater levels of success in our business activities.

That hackneyed response to a friend’s question “Are you feeling fit”? “Yeah, fit for nothing”! will become a reply of the past because you’ll most likely feel fit for almost anything. Weight loss, health and fitness = less stress.

Inspirational Musings on Health and Fitness

Imagine! It is actually possible that you were never meant to be a size 6.

Next time you’re at a family gathering, take a good look at those you are most closely related to. Are all of them perfectly built and shaped? Do all of them fit the image of the ideal human? On the scale of health and fitness are they all a ten, or are they like you, a perfect six and a half? Perhaps they are exactly as they were meant to be. Perhaps you also turned out just like the rest of the family, a perfect almost seven.

The first consideration in any fitness program must be an honest evaluation of your health and fitness level coupled with realistic expectations for change.

Would it not be wonderful if the media broadcast those ideas daily and everywhere, instead of trying to make us all the same?. What’s right for one person is not necessarily so for all. We do not all fit the same mold, and neither should we be expected to do so.

The second consideration in your efforts to lose weight and increase fitness is patience with yourself.

If that honest look in the mirror did say that a little less weight might not be a bad idea, then make it truly an honest evaluation, and make your expectations ‘fit the crime.’ Don’t fall for the unrealistic and quite frankly unhealthy quick weight loss diet trap. Depending on what you decide, realize that any extra weight took a while to grow on you. Similarly, it is going to take a while to take leave of it.

The third consideration is a realistic evaluation of the advertising which bombards us on a daily basis.

Are you tempted to buy every magazine that promises to reveal the latest diet secrets? Do you stop dead in your tracks when you see a new ‘fat burning’ supplement being advertised? Do you give the media generally far more credibility than they deserve? Ask yourself how often you have come across a seemingly informative article that was really an advertisement.

You have always known, of course, that the advertisers pay the media’s bills. Has it occurred to you, though, that those same media may not at the same time be prepared to report truthfully any damaging or contradicting information which may have come to light about an advertiser’s product? Occasionally we do hear sentences like, ‘the opinions expressed are not necessarily the opinions of the broadcaster,’ but it never hurts to do your own due diligence. There is good information out there. You just need to look for it.

The New World of the Health and Fitness Blog

Subscribing to a health and fitness blog can be one of the best things you can do to assist you in learning what is going on in the fitness world. There are many out there for you to choose from. Internet fitness is now more than simply people telling you to buy their programs. There is now how to videos, instructional forums, free fitness programs and much more out there for you to peruse on your quest for knowledge.

One of the best ways to get this Internet fitness information is to sign up for an rss feed from a health and fitness blog. Many of the better sites will allow you to sign up through the rss reader of your choice and see whats new on the site. You can check it when you please and the best part is you don’t have to go clicking around to find it. You basically find a couple sites that you like and have them send their rss feeds to you. You get their health and fitness blog whenever and wherever you want.

Another great way to get the information sent directly to you is to sign up for a health and fitness newsletter. Signing up for a sites newsletter is usually a very simple thing, all they need is your name and e-mail address. Then every week or two they will send you an e-mail with what they think is some relevant information that you will enjoy.

In the past one of the biggest knocks on newsletters was many people were selling their list to spammers. You though you had signed up for a newsletter on fitness and all the sudden you get a bunch of e-mail on how to extend your manhood, or an e-mail telling you won 5 million euros. There have been some major changes in Internet law and much of this has stopped. I personally belong to about 8 or 9 newsletters and my spam folder doesn’t get any e-mails. This is a big change from a couple years ago.

The Internet is a fantastic tool. These days there are some fantastic ways to get information directly sent to you via a health and fitness blog or newsletter. There is a new day in age coming up in the fitness world, one that I call the Internet fitness revitalization. The new information that is coming out is both relevant and correct, a lot different than the poor information that was scattered all over just a few short years ago.
